Graffiti art

I have been looking at graffiti art for inspiration. On my temple project 

I have been looking at the week known graffiti artist Banksy. I find his work inspirational I love how his work is Modern and controversial it gets straight to the point with modern day probelems. 

The  detail he puts in to his paintings are quiet amazing since me trying graffiti out I know it's not easy so for him to have this much talent am glad the world gets to see it. 

Other graffiti I have been looking at is what's been seen on the Berlin Wall. 

Also during Amsterdam  I came Arcoss a few good paintings. Although a lot of it is just tags. 

Beauty 2

Looking at Andy Warhol's film "beauty 2" fascinated me by how simple making a film can be. I like the way he thinks that if your in a film your famous. He used Edie Sedgwick as a actress for his film by just sitting her on a bed with a man. While a unknown stranger asked questions. Although it's hard to understand the dialog of the film I don't think it was scripted. 

Andy Warhol's film inspired are choice in film for are collaboration. 

 

We used this film for a collaboration project simply sitting on a sofa talking about nothing important just dialog for a drunken night. The film we made had no reason for it apart from if it is reality or fiction.    

Collaboration

When I heard we was doing collaboration I wasn't fond of the idea of sharing my ideas with new people but when I heard the brief we had I knew it wouldn't be bad to share my ideas as it's all about trying new things and playing around with the ideas you have. 

The brief we had was fiction vs reality I instantly knew that we could course drama with this brief after a couple of weeks thinking of ideas we decided to not course drama and look at it a different way with that we decided to film are selfs and friends drunk at a house party with this footage we planned to make a short silent film. When we looked back at the footage it was clear that a silent film wasn't really going to work. 

After going to Gary's lecture and hearing about Andy Warhol  and  Edie Sedgwick in beauty 2 we liked the connection we had to them as people and decided useing the dialog we will film beauty #free are own remake of beauty 2 

 After filming we was happy with the outcome and ready to put it in are presentation.

  After working in a group I found out it helps with your own work a lot and I shouldn't be scared to share my ideas.
